As a finalist in the BBC Young Jazz Musician of the Year 2020, winner of the Rising Star category in the 2019 British Jazz Awards, and nominee in the Parliamentary Jazz Awards 2021, Alex is known to be one of the most in-demand and versatile young saxophonist players emerging on the British jazz scene. Praised for her intelligent ear for harmony and versatility across a broad range of styles, Alex’s lyrical, melodic playing is steeped in the tradition of jazz greats such as Cannonball Adderley and Charlie Parker. Now based locally in Warwick, Alex is pleased to be bringing a quartet of some of the UK’s finest jazz musicians to Kenilworth Arts Festival for an evening of sophisticated, feel-good jazz, blues and funk.

This is an outdoor event and while we hope that September brings with it warm summer evenings, there is a chance it may rain, so please be aware that this event is not under cover, so dress accordingly. In the event of extreme bad weather, we will arrange contingency plans which will be indoors.
