Interplay has been moving and amusing audiences all over the Midlands for more than a decade. Led by bassist and composer Adrian Litvinoff the band has developed its own blend of engaging material, great musicianship and audience involvement.
Jazz critic The Jazz Mann called this “a distinctive group sound and philosophy”.
Interplay brings a wide palette of musical influences from around the world, a love of improvisation, and a desire to make good music that is enjoyable for everyone. Gilles Peterson called their album Global ‘a beautiful record’.
Interplay’s guest soloists have included Claude Deppa, Annie Whitehead and John Etheridge.
For Kenilworth Arts Festival the band is putting on its party clothes and getting ready to have some fun! Latin jazz, African grooves and Soul Jazz are on the menu, bringing flavours of Brazil, Cuba, South Africa, Jamaica and the USA. Dance in your seat or on your feet!
