What would you call a collection of typewriters? An orchestra? A library? An army?
At the beginning of 2021, Kate began using and collecting typewriters to create personal stories. This passion grew, and she has been travelling and sharing her library of typewriters for people to use to create their own, personal stories. At Kenilworth Arts Festival. Kate will begin with a storytelling session, sharing her typed stories with you and guiding you in ways to craft your own stories using words and pictures. Afterwards, you will have time and space to type your stories on a typewriter and anything you create will be yours to take home.
Paper, pens, pictures and everything you need to create your story will be provided. Please bring a blanket to sit on. Limited numbers to allow for social distancing
This is an outdoor event and while we hope that September brings with it warm summer evenings, there is a chance it may rain, so please be aware that this event is not under cover, so dress accordingly. In the event of extreme bad weather, we will aim to arrange contingency plans which will be indoors.
