Between Saturday May 29th and Sunday June 6th, the first ever Kenilworth Naturewatch will take place. It is a week-long series of outdoor activities for children and families to celebrate and learn about the nature and wildlife in Kenilworth and the local area.
Starting with a Naturewatch stall at the Open Day Market and a Shop Window Competition on Saturday May 29th, the activities include a Minibeast Hunt, Plant and Flower Surveys, Moth and Bat Evening, Forest Encounter, tours of local Nature Reserves, and photography and art competitions.
Organised by the Town Council’s Climate Roadmap group, the events are run by local community groups and independent providers including Friends of Abbey Fields, Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, Bee-Friendly Kenilworth, and Kenilworth Eco-Church Groups and Closer Look at Nature.
All activities are free for participants and require online pre-registration. Event registration will start to go live from Friday April 30th.
