Come along to this wet felting session and learn how to create a simple image of either a beautiful tree, your favourite flowers or perhaps a butterfly or a bee.
Textile Artist, Jacqui Smithson will be following the Kenilworth Festival theme of nature and will be showing you how to create a simple image in felt using pre dyed merino wool and other textured threads and fibres. She will have lots of images to share with you so if you don’t know what you would like to make, she can help you choose.
This session is suitable for Secondary school aged children. All children must be accompanied by an adult. All materials will be provided but please bring a medium sized towel and a squeezy bottle of warm soapy water.
This is an outdoor event and while we hope that September brings with it warm summer evenings, there is a chance it may rain, so please be aware that this event is not under cover, so dress accordingly. In the event of extreme bad weather, we will arrange contingency plans which will be indoors.
