Pride and Prejudice has always been the most famous of Jane Austen’s books and has seen several reincarnations in film, television and theatre. We are privileged to bring the world premiere adaptation of Andrew Davies’ BBC TV series to the Talisman stage. Theatre goers who love Jane Austen, will not be disappointed with this romantic comedy which is very much written in the best Andrew Davies style. It revolves around the tumultuous relationship that is established between the heroine Elizabeth Bennet, who is the daughter of a gentleman from the country, and Darcy, who is a wealthy yet snobbish lord. What follows is the folly of judging by first impressions and superbly evokes gossip and snobberies of provincial Georgian life.
