The Ford is where the stream known as the Finham Brook flows past Kenilworth Castle and into Abbey Fields. A real pivotal feature in Kenilworth’s history, the Finham Brook was somewhat responsible for siting of the castle, the extent of lands of the Abbey and the wildlife haven of modern-day Abbey Fields. The ford itself is a rarity in Warwickshire and has been catching motorists by surprise after heavy rains for over one hundred years!
