Robert Dudley built Warrior Farm as a hunting lodge at around the time he entertained Queen Elizabeth I. It’s one of the oldest wooden framed buildings in the area (c1563-1575), with stables and ornate patterning, and was surely a stopping point for the two of them to take refreshment, so take in the wonderful views across the fields to Honiley Church and do the same.
Retrace your steps to the crossroads and turn right, following the woodland edge for about 500m to another crossroads, then turn left back towards Kenilworth along the field boundary
These trails follow the same route as the leaflets but provide more detailed and deeper information at each point of interest (and we will keep adding more as we go!).
